Best way to transfer USD

I want to transfer a relatively large amount ~6k to a bank outside the US, but keeping the money in USD, NOT changing it to regional currency. Which would be the best way to do this?
(The international account is a USD account ofc)

@birdbrain27 You should ask your bank if they accept a check from a US bank, most do. Also ask them what is the limit and the time to clear the check. If everything is OK, write yourself a check and deposit it. I used to do for Canada.

@birdbrain27 If you're not changing currency, just do an international wire. Probably costs around $20.
