So June 2021 I had a water heater that busted. Caled home warrant they said call insurance start claim la la LA. So called them got a claim started . They send out rooter rooter who refers cut n dry. So cut n dry comes out and takes photos leave equipment and doesn't plug in. Days go on and cut n dry comes 7days later to start the demolation. It's June and it's been a week ..the water has evaporated dissolved and aintrunning hot anymore. They come out remove water heat put up some spider thing and turn fans on. It's so damn hot the water been gone. So they set up temp water heater. And 2 was pass and they never came out to check on there equipment I called them trynna get there estimates for repairs because adjuster at aaa was trynna keep the ball rolling. They prolonged it so we had the temporary water heater for 30days. Which was 32.99 a days charge. Got estimates . So they ripped out the water damage on walls and then we get the estimate it's 1200.

Rewind. When it first happened I. Got a hotel to Stay in because I have a baby she can't handle cold showers. Got the room with casino comp nights. Claims guy said its living expenses included. So when checked out gave casino checkout information and they didnt want to pay out.but sent a check for 650. So I'm thinking the first stay was for that check. Check into another hotel for 2 days. Then another for a day then back to casino for 2 separate days. This is all WITHING a month in a half of getting water damage water heater issue handled. She doesn't want to pay the hotel stays because she says they need to see those funds where exhausted. I sent the receipts for all the others I payed for but the complementary one didn't have daily rate it showed date stayed room service chage etc.

So aaa says your deductible is 1000.
We got a check for 322. For repairs . 640 for living expenses
The estimate was 1200 were suppose to pay that amount out of pocket to repair company.

Company who did the demolition that was dry by the time they actually came out charged 5000 for they're water heater temp and cutting out thee dryed drywall.

We luckily have a handy man who was able to fix the holes they cut out and purchase the water heater and payed someone to install. Which we paid out of pocket.

This entire situation just seems shady or am I tripping?
Thanks I'm neelw to this insurance stuff
