Advice for obtaining CPCU designation please!

I’d like to obtain a CPCU designation instead of CIC, would you recommend TheInstitutes or AssociatePI? I have about 11 yrs P&C experience with 6 of it in commercial P&C and ultimately want to switch over to Underwriting. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated, thanks in advanced!

@victoryshout just FYI, The Institutes is the organization that actually confers the CPCU designation. AssociatePI only sells study guides for The Institutes' courses. That's not to say that 3rd party study materials don't have any value, but you will ultimately go through The Institutes for exams.

General advice, first search The Institutes' website for "waivers" and open the Waiver Request Form. It will list several ways in which you might qualify to waive required courses. For instance, if you have an MBA you can skip the finance/accounting course. Beyond that, The Institutes offers some fee micro courses so you can see what their materials are like before purchasing any.
