    @resjudicata Ya, I was surprised too. I'm still wondering if the agent is making a mistake, or maybe its an incentive to keep me from switching, but they are offering 2.89. It is with First National. They said they secured the rate for me back in Feb i think. I just haven't pulled the trigger.

    @kindnessc Hey, thanks for commenting. I was shocked when I saw 2.89 as well. Unless the agent is mistaken, she is giving me 2.89. It is with first national.

    @markcmusic Thanks. It does look good. I just couldn't get any idea on how long it will look golden. But thankfully, everyone here has pointed out that over the next 5 years, 2.89 will most likely win vs variable.

    @tmounts87 I was surprised at the rate too. When shopping around, I was getting 3.89 at best.

    @mikemu777 I did. It ended up being a rate they secured for me back in February. Offer was valid until today so I took everyone's advice and accepted the fixed rate.

    @mikemu777 Its true, unless the agent is mistaken. I just emailed her saying ill do fixed at 2.89. I guess we will figure out later if there is some sort of mistake.

    @stuck Lender is First National. I got lucky, it was a prelocked rate they secured for me in February. I think their current rates are on par with what you are seeing everywhere else.
