Valuation Gap between Indian subsidiaries of MNC vis-a-vis Holding company and their emerging markets counterparts

@akiba021 The first part is my personal opinion that there is no room for price to Earnings expansion. For example for every rupee earned you are paying 67.6 to buy HUL, I do not expect that ratio to increase, however I expect the earnings to increase from 1 rupee by around 12 percent CAGR. So...

Valuation Gap between Indian subsidiaries of MNC vis-a-vis Holding company and their emerging markets counterparts

@bontogo Yes possible but my contention is emerging markets countries should have very similiar factors going for them, and a very huge premium across emerging markets is a bit of anomaly.

Valuation Gap between Indian subsidiaries of MNC vis-a-vis Holding company and their emerging markets counterparts

@enarvaez3096 I agree. The premium has existed for a while now and there is a good probability I have missed something that will happen in the future. But just by going as per historical data, I can't seem to make sense of it.

Valuation Gap between Indian subsidiaries of MNC vis-a-vis Holding company and their emerging markets counterparts

@alsu Not really. When you look at how integral the Indian units have been to incase of Suzuki and Unilever , it is not possible for both of them to grow at their historical growth rates. Growing through acquisitions is going to be very tough, they may grow but it is not going to have a big...

Multinational Corporations(MNC’s) have been immense wealth creators for shareholders over the past couple of decades. Focus on R&D, capital allocation and execution and more importantly a very strong corporate governance has resulted in MNC’s getting very high valuations. So how do the parent...

@minabell I have absolute no- complaints. I have the bank account for 6 years and i rarely have had an issue with it. It also acts as my primary account and so I use very frequently. Even the customer care has been decent when I have had an issue. Also I don't think I have any aggressive...

Selecting a bank account and advantages /disadvantages of the same

@minabell Yes. I have noticed the smaller banks have much efficient internet systems, probably because of the size of the banks. While I have not faced a lot of issues with Kotak 811, I have faced some with HDFC / Icici. RBL has been pretty decent for me NGL.

NAV will no longer be the the date of purchase for mutual funds?

@megusta What is this shitty rule. The mutual fund industry has had some very shit rules, one was cut off times at 12 and now this. If the amount is getting debited by my bank on Monday why the fuck should I get units on Wednesday due to incapability and incompetence of both the regulatory...

Selecting a bank account and advantages /disadvantages of the same

@rezene Yes. I also believe 2/3 accounts are sufficient. I usually keep accounts for different purposes. Salary + Investment account is 1 account, Emergency saving account is 2nd account and 3rd would be a general big purchase spend account.
