    @sun1982 4% on a $300k loan is another $1000/month in interest alone. I wouldn’t give up that 2.7% mortgage unless I really needed to.

    @yerin Being a landlord and a parent both come with significant liability risks. Because I'm a landlord I carry a personal umbrella policy but of course that doesn't protect you from any risk whatsoever.

    @suupertrump Either way I'd still borrow at 3.9% to earn 5% pre-tax on the money and to keep the liquidity. If the rate on the money market falls then you can always pay the loan off.
