@alinta When the QQQ is at an all time high with a hawkish Fed looking at an out of control equity market ? Terrible idea right now - but not terrible after a 15 - 20 % scalp off these levels

@emcee19 Very fair point. Thank you for the explanation. I usually use these types of holdings to generate a yield while the value of the position is used to maintain margin for cash secured puts. So I more or less need the price to stay consistent to avoid margin calls

@emcee19 I’m sure if you do the math on the div yield relative to and include depreciation of stock price - the yield may end up lower. I.e. if you put $1000 in and got 100 shares - for 5 % Div ($50) but stock is now less than $9.50, then you broke even

@matterik If rates go down, it makes sense to leave these since lower rates are better for equities But if you’re interested in essentially a synthetic HISA, these makes sense relative to offer hopping.
