    "Wiping Out Poverty Now" charity

@maarlon for charities with large volunteer workforces, which isn't all of them, money can be more efficient than food because they buy food in bulk and don't have to sort haphazard donations

Why’s I’d fair to tax the interest on savings when I can’t claim the increased cost of everything else as a tax deduction?

@danmat777 It doesn't make sense but if you were rich enough to make significant donations to political parties then you would have a relatively low amount of money in a bank account and you'd care more about the extremely generous CGT discount.

It's ridiculous that some people consider economics a "science"

@thewayofholiness What makes you call it a science? To me it seems to be bordering on a social science, where social sciences are known for making up a bunch of stuff and then fail to be able to replicate any of their studies. Making the claim to be a subset of science look a trifle dubious.

It's ridiculous that some people consider economics a "science"

@thewayofholiness It might be considered a science by a couple economists. It's pretty dismal though.

Given these T&C's: do I get any benefit from paying extra into my loan vs using offset account?

@icecream543791 offset is the same for most situations and all upside for some if you have it. If you are paying for an offset is the only time it's not just the best.
