@paedwards Bad time to sell cause interest rates are the highest they have been since 2009. I would wait until November next year. Rates seem to be on the way down, and the election will be over. Hopefully, the selling price will be better then.

@alfiano This is basically the rule of one price. If a product or service is much cheaper in one country or market, then eventually arbitrage will remove the difference. Please note that this rule will collapse if there is extreme uncertainty, e.g. Zimbabwe, Germany, in the 1920s, Venezuela etc etc.

@dyvinka If it were me, I'd invest his needs for the next 3-5 years in a money market fund and put the rest in world markets through easy equities. 10x total world, for example.

@elly1 If you are serious about emigrating, don't bother with an RA. Use you 1m SDA and invest everything offshore directly. I say this because getting your money out of an RA when u emigrate is an almighty pain and fully taxable.
