From the 150,000 limit u/s 80C, do I have to deduct my contribution to EPF ? Or can I invest 1.5 lac and claim EPF deduction as well separately?

@uktom Thanks for this! Was considering NPS again seeing a video which said if you invest in PPF (EEE) and same in NPS, the 60% of NPS amount would be equal/more than 100% of PPF corpus. But investing in index fund can give you more than or similar to NPS return but you get 100% of the corpus...

Adani Group: How The World’s 3rd Richest Man Is Pulling The Largest Con In Corporate History (Hindenburg Research)

@matt4 Any idea how to find the weightages of the nifty 50 companies. Afair, the 2 Adani stocks would have a combined weightage of ~2% in the nifty 50 index which isn't a significant portion (would like if the company gets removed from nifty 50 at least)

Reviews of mutual funds and asset management services for month of April 2023 : Request or post reviews.

@johnpeeters82 It's over 31k crore now. 29k cr was in Feb 2023. There isn't a direct correlation I guess, but I have a feeling that they'll become a normal large cap fund now. Getting small cap and maybe even mid cap would be difficult now, which is what gives any flexi cap scheme the x...

@nic227 We've seen sideways market for the last 1-2yrs. So, returns shouldn't really be compared. Axis usually follows growth strategy, so markets like this is not really fair to judge their performance. Also, in the last 1-2yrs, I don't think any equity fund would have given good returns. If...

@sandnesspeak Was your rationale behind investing in this purely based on past returns? If yes, you have learnt an important investing lesson. Sectoral funds are risky and you need to be skillful in selecting the right sector at the right time. I think that's the same reason you would have...

NPS calculations: Is NPS a good option or not under current rules.

@isika 30yrs investment period. The difference is because I assumed 10% NPS returns. Have taken 10.75% as well in the same thread. Difference then is a little over 17L.

NPS calculations: Is NPS a good option or not under current rules.

@cjs17 The calculator I used online didn't have an option to put decimal point. I'll see if I can get it with another calc. You can try it with it 10.75% and check the amount. Edit: the difference is over 17L. Interesting. Now, it's upto individual choice, I suppose. If we get more math...

NPS calculations: Is NPS a good option or not under current rules.

@isika I did a calculation yesterday for this to understand. Let's take 100% corpus which would be generated if we assume 10% for NPS and 12% for Index fund for over 30yrs. The return difference was negligible (this is after taking lower SIP amount for index as you have taken it yourself in your...
