    [IBKR] Smart Routing & Comissions

@evangelism4everyone Totally agree about 2., it’s the biggest drawback and they have promised to fix this in the future. Don’t agree on 1. - they are FCA regulated- you can’t get better than that in 2023 - it’s the most respected finance regulator in my opinion. I also use IBKR, but not for my...

    [IBKR] Smart Routing & Comissions

@evangelism4everyone After yet another price increase, after 15 May DeGiro got even more expensive. The calculation of the cost with IBKR can get really tricky, especially for EU stocks. I feels that they deliberately made the cost structure over complicated. The best place to buy EU stocks at...

Anyone else seeing 4.2% interest on EUR? Is this a mistake?

@sam1 Exactly this. Actually I own XEON on trading 212 and some things that are noteworthy: this is an exchange traded product so 1. the price fluctuates a bit; 2 there’s some spread; 3; they handle taxes their own way

When do you buy ETF Bond in your DCA?

@todefendthetruth Just as often as you purchase other ETFs or stocks. Add the bond ETF to the rest of the mix.

Trading 212 raises € interest to 4% paid daily

    @davidbekham 1000 * 4% = €40 a year. €40 / 365 = 11 cents a day. (Average - Could be 10 at the beginning, 12 at the end)

Anyone else seeing 4.2% interest on EUR? Is this a mistake?

@coffeegrinder Man, I’m not Trading 212’s advocate so I don’t want to make “you believe” anyone. I’m with them since they were broker only in the UK, so when I joined it was the just the FCA that regulated them. Apparently Cyprus became a thing after Brexit - so they haven’t become less...

@pandaman Ok, thanks for the info. My questions still stand, no matter which broker you choose to get interest from.

Anyone else seeing 4.2% interest on EUR? Is this a mistake?

@coffeegrinder You are right, but those banks are Barclays and JP Morgan. If anything happens with these banks - the whole economy is f*cked.

I’m really sick of all the “suggest a broker” post

@belladonna6852539 Unfortunately I can’t agree, having used eToro, Freetrade, Trading 212 and Revolut - I claim that the reviews there just don’t reflect the reality well. And they don’t differentiate well between CFDs and real equities.

I’m really sick of all the “suggest a broker” post

@belladonna6852539 These affiliate sites are not to be trusted, their business model is getting funds from the brokers, the broker that pays them the most gets more favorable review, not the one that provides the best service.

Anyone else seeing 4.2% interest on EUR? Is this a mistake?

@coffeegrinder They said money is either in term deposits (bank guarantee) or in money-market funds (premium government bonds). Either way it’s safe by any standards, I wouldn’t deposit my funds otherwise.
