    @lynn12345 IMO, it shouldn't matter as red flags on credit are shared across all 3 - no agency wants to be caught out as the one that didn't flag past history for a loan/credit card etc. You should definitely request from the other two directly or usually this link can get you all 3 at once...

    @lynn12345 Which agency did you request it from? Perhaps you can go to each of the agencies to request directly on their website. Since they share info with each other, getting one report should be a good representation of what the others have anyway.

    @lynn12345 I see on this US gov website there's weekly online reports available - is that not possible? Also, for them to go into collections, that usually takes months for the debt to be delinquent and be sold on so you can definitely request validation. And I doubt they would chase you across...

    @lynn12345 You should check your credit report and see if there is actually a collection... it could be that your details were surfaced somewhere and there's just enough to send you a legit looking bill.
