    @nobeardlady It sounds like a case of not buying bonds you are not going to hold to maturity. For me its a reason why I only consider long term bonds for money I don't want to touch ever again until retirement and overnight funds or ultra-short maturities where interest rates don't cause any...

    @nobeardlady If you invest in sovereign funds that are pretty much guaranteed not to default, how do you lose money if you hold to maturity? You may not gain as much money as if you invested in equities, but its pretty much a guaranteed return.
