    @riot So I've only started doing this over the summer so as of right now probably not a lot. I completed on my flat in June with a mortgage at 2.34% meaning at least until 2027 (5 Yr fix) there's no benefit in overpaying. Didn't do this prior to mortgage application as knew it would look bad...

    Closing credit card account Y or N?

    @dhwms I would cut up the card (assuming the reason your mother wants you to close it is to reduce risk of running up debt again) but not close it as the length of time it's been open should help your credit score, assuming that it is costing you nothing to leave it open.

    @itspt95 !thanks To be totally honest I probably do spend a little bit too much time thinking about it so thanks for flagging that risk. I'd say overall though I'm very disciplined and do actually slightly enjoy sorting it all out at the same time so I don't mind. I'm very on top of dates etc...

    Hi all. I'm currently stoozing and have opened a number of current accounts (all are free or pay me money each month as I have required DDs or transfers) to gain access to savings accounts and switch bonuses. Atm my savings are split between: £400 - Lloyd's regular saver - 5.25% (Nov23)...
