    @kenneths At your income, there is no hope of buying unless you at least triple your income. You can rent but you will require roommate(s) But it's your choice not to find a job and move to a lower cost city.

    @violinistforchrist Correct the foreign tax credit gets filed in Canada. Correct the purpose is so you don't pay tax twice on the same income. Since our our tax rates are higher, you would generally owe a bit, but as a student, you probably have tuition tax credits that would be applied first...

    @debbie_s It should be, but they are fairly simple for 90% of people. I take maybe ten minutes to enter al the info even before I retired with T4s, T3, T5, RRSP contribution slips, etc...
