Critique my savings strategy - stoozing

@grahamsnumber Aldermore 3% instant access (until you make 3rd withdrawal in a year). Don't think the NatWest saver has a maturity date? You could open an RBS current account for their regular saver (same terms as NatWest's afaik).

Converting OEIC to ETF without a taxable event

@dpowerz Yep, just transfer everything to iWeb and pay zero ongoing platform fees. You could always continue buying funds in HL (for no dealing charge), then periodically transfer to iWeb.

Are the Nasdaq-100 ETFs from Xtrackers and AXA IM any good?

@beerandjesus Does your platform support fractional shares? If not, $870 is quite a chunky amount.

    Scottish Widows v Vanguard v A.J Bell

@sus81 Definitely ask Scottish Widows about that. Vanguard's total fees (excluding fund internal transaction costs) for their FTSE Global All Cap fund for example would be 0.23% + 0.15% = 0.38%. Do you have the exact name of your current funds? Or a link to factsheet etc.? I had a quick look...

FTSE ex-UK v All Cap. What’s the craic?

@joltor0517 The large weighting to China has really hurt emerging markets tracker performance recently. EM ex-China has probably been doing ok. Just checked VFEM (Vanguard EM ETF), that has a 27.2% China weighting after the China underperformance. Trustnet chart comparing Vanguard VFEM (incl...

    Scottish Widows v Vanguard v A.J Bell

@sus81 How much are you actually paying in fees at the moment? Did you ask Scottish Widows? Bear in mind that since your current fund choices aren't on Vanguard and probably aren't on AJ Bell, transferring would involve selling everything and moving cash. During the time out of the market, it...

planning on opening second s&s isa, need advice.

@hoosierrn HL does cap their platform fee for ETFs. From April you'll be allowed to pay into multiple ISAs each tax year. Once money is in an ISA you can buy & sell as much as you want.
