[California] I applied for PUA (1099) early morning 4/28 and my claim seems to be accepted but my claim balance is $1966?

@alic84 That's PEUC. PUA back dates all the way to 02/2020... I think that's why they wanna pay PUA claims before PEUC. So they can pay the lower weekly amount from PUA

@thomasking88 It doesn't show any where. Any payments starting the week of 04/05 gets you $600 additional every week. Untill the last pay week in July.

@paigerific87 I read that if you qualify for regular unemployent your claim starts on the date you applied for benefits. PUA starts when you became unemployed and not the day you file.

@paigerific87 Damn that sucks. When was your last day of unemployent? It says your claim started at the end of April so you missed out on 4 payments of $600 for the month of April. :/ Tricky situation you're in not sure if you can use your 1099 income to boost your regular unemployent weekly...

@paigerific87 How much did you make from that w2 job? You always have to report w2 income when applying to Edd if that income was made within your base period

@paigerific87 Did you have any w2 earnings to report? Or did you previously have unemployent benefits? PUA and unemployent benefits use the same application. So you probably applied for PUA and got regular unemployent based on a previous w2 job. If that's the case it's a job that you didn't work...
