How is anyone enlisted still buying a house ?

@aryanna Well, CA is only getting more and more expensive. Get stationed somewhere that has a low cost of living compared to the high cost of living areas. I'm in SC and just bought a brand new 2000 sq ft home for 250k. BAH is 1958, and my mortgage, property tax, and insurance is 1600.
