    @xososaxo I haven't considered swap ETFs because they make me somewhat uncomfortable. I feel like at some point the government will end that party as they did with income trusts.

    @xososaxo When you get a dividend of X, the stock price goes down by X. It's not free money. The only thing you save is the transaction fee for a sale.

    @menimi The answer is no, not because of the account or whatever, but because chasing dividends doesn’t make sense in an era of low/no fee liquidity.

    @samsam53 I would max out your TFSA before putting anything into an RRSP. Your current TFSA is earning "a bit of interest". Switch that into index ETFs. Absolutely do not open a non-registered investment account while you still have TFSA room. If you want to keep your 25K in something safe there...
