    @xpower Most of those are for international students or people doing short sideways moves. I don't have any strong feelings about them being subsidized.

    @thienvietcom CSP (post-grad stipends) are not highly rare in Australia. Prior to my PhD, I had to do well in honors and then come up with a good doctoral topic. It seemed merit based and wasn't a difficult application to complete, on top of that you can teach for additional income and it...
