@bibledave the £85k doesn't really apply to fund/share investments. in the case of vanguard/iWeb/HL going bust your investments are segregated. only in rare case of fraud of some sort would it come into play. i don't let that worry me. also, even then i can't see the government letting millions...

@johnboy99 that's what happened relatively recently. the next ten years could have completely different areas of the market winning and losing. the point of the all cap is it will not under or overweight anything. in all periods there will be things doing worse and better but you can't predict...
