Investing with private banking worth the fees?

@bogdanpnw No but you spoke about assets and asset returns.

Does it make sense not to own a car at all?

@jamesf123 Yes it is possible. I didn't have a car until I literally got one for free from my parents who downgraded from 2 to 1. Never needed a car unless I went to the countryside for which you could use the train. I did get the car because why not, and sometimes as a cyclist it is nicer to...

    Moving from Milan to Zürich

@johnstalling I am not nit-picking, I am showing your analysis up for what it is - superficial. E.g. the fact that you ignore long term saving benefits speaks volumes. 10k turns into 20k soon, and compound interest will grow your retirement fund more and more.

Investing with private banking worth the fees?

@thequestionistgirl No. Buying VT and forgetting about it is in the long run far better than giving your money to a bank. They will most likely underperform, and charge you for that abysmal service. Not relevant. There are certain criteria that are easy to not fall into (and two of them have...

    Best fund domicile?

@ezworldwide US domiciled is best for US equity. You pay only 15% on dividends which you can claim back via DA-1. Ireland is better than Luxembourg, as the former has 15% you cannot claim back, the latter 30%. But also, get IBKR, not a swiss broker, the latter have to charge you a stamp duty...
