    @cathy1964 Pretty sure I may have to pay tax on everything except the 6 weeks statutory redundancy pay. I’m unsure re- why the final day is different, those are the terms they offered me.

    @meleas I’m not sure it is the same company. I believe US workers were given pretty good terms too. The funniest part was one of the leadership team was telling about how hurt he is and how he understands how we feel, while he’s on the call sitting in his mansion with a G-Wagon out the window.

    @kajun2 Thanks mate. It’s ok, I’m in a privileged position where even with this setback I’m not going to go hungry. Nobody wants to not be not wanted/needed but all in all I’m extremely lucky to be where I am.

    @theo2020 Thank you for this. This is what I believed it would be. However, a few replies seem to state that the 11 weeks are also tax free. I’ll speak to HR today so I can know exactly figures. These questions were keeping me up last night so I thought I would post
